Welcome to the Petworth Community Garden website. We are a group of local volunteers of all ages and abilities, who meet together weekly to tend our organic community garden. We share the gardening tasks, along with tea, cakes and seasonal soup, and each take home fresh, free, organic fruit and vegetables.
We meet every Tuesday morning, from 10am until 2pm at our garden in Petworth. We enjoy learning in a relaxed environment, as part of a mixed community group, about organic, sustainable gardening and 'growing your own'. We aim to be welcome and accessible to all.
Petworth Community Garden is grateful to Awards for All Lottery Funding (biglotteryfund.org.uk), which has recently enabled us to obtain our wheelchair accessible compost toilet. It is a fantastic addition to the garden which is appreciated by many and is an extension of the disabled facilities which are already available. These include raised beds and accessible paths.
We are sorry not to keep you updated this season as we have been so busy with our projects!
